Belstaff – Regent Street

The Belstaff flagship is now open at 203 Regent Street. The relocation is part of the ongoing retail expansion plans, as Belstaff continues to present its community first retail concept. Following on from the reopening of the brand’s Spitalfields store in March, the Munich relocation to Residenzstrasse in May and most recently the Glasgow relocation to Ingram Street, the partnership with award-winning design consultancy Brinkworth now delivers the most important retail project to date, on the corner of Regent Street and Conduit Street.

The relocation coincides with the 200 year anniversary of Regent Street, which is owned by The Crown Estate. Continually evolving, Regent Street, home to an eclectic mix of iconic British and International brands and flagships, attracts over 50 million visitors a year. The cross-generational appeal of Belstaff will be reflected in the contemporary and inclusive mix of brands offered within the street. Regent Street is London’s distinctive home of fashion, dining, wellness and lifestyle.

Located next to London’s energetic and eclectic Soho, the curious mindset of this neighbourhood will be reflected in the store, presenting a new era for the nearly one hundred year old brand. Belstaff Regent Street is a place for discovery, shopping and entertainment. The interactive space can be transformed from a retail environment in to a community hub. With all fixtures on castors, Belstaff plans to host an ongoing series of curated events with guest hosts along with special screenings, panel discussions and podcast recordings. Key figures of the Soho community will collaborate on the opening event, curating the food, music and entertainment.

Launching on Monday October 7 at 10am – Rebel Radio broadcasts live alongside Extinction Rebellion on our Culture channel.

Broadcasting live from Soho Radio and XR sites around the world, Rebel Radio is a pop-up station with unique access to the inside story of Extinction Rebellion. Rebel Radio will proactively set the news agenda for the duration of Extinction Rebellion’s most ambitious protest yet. Driven by daring and curious voices, Rebel Radio expands the cultural conversation around the climate and ecological crisis. The schedule is pegged around two key news shows at the start and end of the day. Wake up to business not as usual with GMXR (Good Morning Extinction Rebellion), a debrief from leading campaigners. We gather updates from around London and the world, with key XR insiders digesting the news and reflecting on what happened the day before. Don’t Drive Time broadens the conversation into the evening, bringing new perspectives from the frontline of the emergency. Broadcaster and journalist Kate Hutchinson interviews very special guests and introduces the human stories propelling the movement forward. As dusk falls, the show will cut live to moments of drama and inspiration on XR stages, with speeches and music book ended by reaction.

Rebel Radio is proud to present Not Too Late, an exploration of how radical music and the crisis interlink. Presented by a stellar team of cultural thinkers, DJs and forward-thinking musicians – including Josie Long, Zakia Sewell and Max Reinhardt – and the talented production team from Reduced Listening, Not Too Late offers respite in the face of emergency. Rebel Radio during International Rebellion will be your first port of call to hear from luminaries on the ground and in the media. Join the rebellion, just by tuning in. The time is now.

Listen from 7th – 20th October in our Culture channel – officially the Rebel Radio channel for the two weeks.

The Other Art Fair 2019

Soho Radio are heading to The Other Art Fair at Victoria House 3rd – 6th October, with our artists in residences Daniel O’Sullivan & Brigid Mae Power.

Seven years on, the effects of the fair’s growing reputation are not only demonstrated through the support of leading individuals in the art world but also the frequency of success stories from past exhibitors.”

Head down for DJ sets from Daniel, Pete Fowler, Ian Sargeant, King Knut, Toomi Co + more, and to get your hands on original artwork from Daniel and Brigid.
