Joe Buhdha


Joe Buhdha born and bred in Nottingham and was first introduced to hip-hop by his older sister. She was into the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, Sugar Hill Gang and early electo. To add to that, his brother in law was part of a B-Boy crew called The Assassinators, with which he used to go on tour with around the UK. From then on he had caught the bug and along with some of his school mates, started doing tunes and were promptly signed to Submission Records in Derby. On the back of this they were offered a deal to do a single and an EP and they had only just left school! They had a couple of singles out and started touring the UK, supporting De la Soul, Queen Latifa and London Posse, to name but a few. As a Producer Joe has produced and remixed for Terri Walker, East Flatbush Project, Luciano, Rodney P, Klashnekoff, London Posse, Ronika, Harleighblu, Ian Brown, Supernatural, Charli 2na, Cut Chemist, Estelle, John Legend, Jurassic Five Rodney P, Iri Science, DJ Noize, L Fudge.

From Notts with Love: Joe Buhdha, alongside his partner in crime “Oldboy”, will be showcasing various producers. In addition Joe will be creating his own remixes from various producer remixes and edits that will be exclusive for the show.

Another feature will be some sections of live performances from one of the many events Joe has promoted over the years. Performances include Lonnie Liston Smith, DJ Premier, Roy Ayers, Omar, Diamond D, Klashnekoff, Styles P and many more.

Adrian Corker


Adrian Corker was part of Corker Conboy and has written extensively to picture. For the last 10 years he has been solo and has continued his own projects as well as writing for film / tv.
He has recently completed the second series of Rowan Joffe’s Tin Star for Sky Atlantic/Amazon. A soundtrack album has just been released via Silva Screen.

Recent other non film collaborations include an album with Jack Wyllie saxophonist of Portico Quartet, recordings with violinist Aisha Orazbayeva, cellist Lucy Railton and sound artist/field recordist Chris Watson.

His current release is Music for Lock Grooves.

He also runs a label SN Variations which presents new recordings of works by composers such as John Cage,Laurence Crane and Giacinto Scelsi alongside other current experimental work.
Something and Nothing is a monthly show that will focus on post 1950s classical music, film music, electroacoustic works, field recordings, jazz, noise, conversations and live music.
